About Radon Mitigation Finder

Radon Mitigation Finderis a directory of radon mitigation contractors built entirely from public records. We don't accept paid listings to appear in the directory, and we don't invent or estimate any contractor information. Every listing traces back to an official state licensing database or a national certification roster.

Where the data comes from

We currently pull from state radon licensing programs that publish public, machine-readable listings of who currently holds a valid license or credential. As of our last data build, that includes:

• Illinois— Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Radon Tracking System, a public license search covering Mitigation Professionals and Mitigation Technicians.
• Iowa— Iowa HHS Bureau of Radiological Health, which publishes a list of credentialed radon mitigation specialists.

Listings for other states shown in our directory (for example, businesses physically located in Wisconsin or Nebraska) reflect a company's business address on file with one of the above state programs, not a separate license issued by that state. Each contractor page states which state actually issued the license or credential.

States we don't cover yet

We checked several other states with mandatory radon licensing programs (including Pennsylvania, Ohio, Minnesota, New Jersey, Kentucky, and Indiana) while building this directory. Some publish lists behind JavaScript-rendered search tools we couldn't reliably scrape, some sit behind bot-detection that blocked automated requests entirely, and some don't currently publish a public downloadable list at all. Rather than guess or scrape third-party aggregators, we left those states as “coming soon” and will add them as their public data becomes accessible, or as we build dedicated ingestion for each one.

How often the data updates

Each listing shows the date it was last pulled from its source. Licenses and certifications can lapse, transfer to a new company, or be revoked after that date. Always confirm current status with the issuing state agency before hiring, using the source link on each contractor's page.
